Photo Challenge: Day 122

Ready for a history lesson? The following bomber planes were flown by my grandfather, Merlin Tebbs. All are displayed at the Hill Air Force Base - Hill Aerospace Museum in Roy, UT.

B-17 "Flying Fortress" flown in training at Mountain Home Air Force Base by Captain Tebbs before being sent to England for active duty
B-24B "Liberator" flown by Captain Tebbs in World War II out of England over Germany
B-29 "Superfortress" was flown by Captain Tebbs over North Korea
B-47 "Stratojet" was flown by Captain Tebbs during the Cold War. He was on constant stand by to fly this plane loaded with nuclear weapons over Kiev in case of attack by the Russians. It was a suicide mission.
B-52 "Stratofortress" was the last plane Captain Tebbs flew before retiring. He was asked to fly this during Vietnam and decided he was done flying in war.

I love you Grandpa and am proud of you. I just wish I could have told you that. I hope you know it.
