Happy Easter! This evening, the Boise LDS Institute Choir presented "He Is Risen." Toby, Colette, Jenna (yes, she has a rainbow halo) and I attended. We enjoyed seeing a few of our friends up in the choir. Pictured are Leslee Tate and Julianna King. It was a beautiful performance.

Photo Challenge: Day 128
I had the time and took the opportunity to go to the Boise Temple today. As I walked over, I saw a newly married couple getting their pictures taken. I was trying to be sneaky and get a picture of the scene. The first try got mostly fingers...Anyways, when I got out of the temple, I suddenly realized how many flowers were in bloom. It was beautiful!

Photo Challenge: Day 126
Nathan, Toby, Colette and I ate at Big Jud's tonight. We decided to order the Man vs. Food meal - 2 1 lb patties with mushrooms, bleu cheese, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. It was HUGE. Cut it 4 ways and it was still an enormous amount of food to consume. Especially since it came with a large basket of tots...So full...still...

Photo Challenge: Day 124
First signs of spring are everywhere in Boise, but this little greening patch of reeds caught my eye on the way home from work. Then later, Toby and I were on a date when we saw this photo opportunity. Toby put on his best "Monster" face. It ended up being a pretty good day...

Photo Challenge: Day 123
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth" (Isaiah 53:6-7).
To see the innocence of a lamb and then to imagine the Lamb of God...

Photo Challenge: Day 122
Ready for a history lesson? The following bomber planes were flown by my grandfather, Merlin Tebbs. All are displayed at the Hill Air Force Base - Hill Aerospace Museum in Roy, UT.
B-17 "Flying Fortress" flown in training at Mountain Home Air Force Base by Captain Tebbs before being sent to England for active duty
B-24B "Liberator" flown by Captain Tebbs in World War II out of England over Germany
B-29 "Superfortress" was flown by Captain Tebbs over North Korea
B-47 "Stratojet" was flown by Captain Tebbs during the Cold War. He was on constant stand by to fly this plane loaded with nuclear weapons over Kiev in case of attack by the Russians. It was a suicide mission.
B-52 "Stratofortress" was the last plane Captain Tebbs flew before retiring. He was asked to fly this during Vietnam and decided he was done flying in war.
I love you Grandpa and am proud of you. I just wish I could have told you that. I hope you know it.

Photo Challenge: Day 120
Nathan and I drove down to Orem, UT today to visit my parents. We decided Dad looked pretty well, but Mom seemed a bit on edge...just kidding. She's doing well too.

Photo Challenge: Day 117
I felt a little guilty eating these cute little guys...and then I looked more closely and realized they were mutants...not quite as cute anymore...probably got the weird eyes from acid rain...but my heart has a tender spot for cute critters of all varieties...and then I remembered that they were peanut M&Ms...

Photo Challenge: Day 114
Our stay in Pittsburgh took us on a navigational nightmare through downtown. GPS kept telling us to go one way, but roadblocks for the St Patrick's Day Parade kept rerouting us. Luckily, we finally made our way to the Carnegie Art and Natural History Museum. After spending several hours there, we left to find food. We ate a late lunch at De Luca's Diner. I ate pierogi! It was not what I was expecting (mashed potatoes wrapped in a pancake?), but it was tasty! We walked around in The Strip district and enjoyed seeing all the people out and about decorated in green.

War Bride (oil on canvas) by Clarence Holbrook Carter "...an extraordinary confrontation of implacable machinery and frail humanity, is a timeless distillation of the anxiety and loneliness of those [WWII] war-torn years."
And to top the day off, we ate at Mad Mex with my first cousin, Elaine and her husband Charles and three of their six children - Mary, William, and Sam.
