We left Bowman Lake and headed for our next campground -- Avalanche Creek.
Here is Avalanche Creek on the Trail of the Cedars
After the lovely hike around Avalanche Creek, we decided to drive all of Going-to-the-Sun Road. It is a 50-mile long road that crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. It took from 1921 to 1932 to build the road. It was designed by landscape architect Thomas Chalmers Vint. It only has one switchback, called The Loop, for it's ascent along the Garden Wall escarpment.
