Glacier Honeymoon Day 5

We drove to the other side of Logan Pass.
We heard that Iceberg Lake is a lovely hike, so we headed to the trailhead. That peak is Mt Wilbur.
More Bear Grass!!
Ptarmigan Falls
We made it to Iceberg Lake!
This dang cute guy ate through the plastic bag to get at our trail mix...2 ft from where we sat!
Swiftcurrent Lake where Many Glacier Hotel sits with Mt Grinnell overlooking all.
We stopped to soak our feet in Swiftcurrent Lake after our hike to Iceberg Lake. These clouds came in, looking so beautiful.
So we started taking pictures of Swiftwater Falls.
And we noticed all these cars stopped, the park ranger go zipping by, and people climbing up onto the hill we are on. And that is when we saw it. A grizzly bear!!! Picking through the berry bushes across the road and river from where we were. I grabbed my tripod to try to best capture the wondrous animal.
Never gonna get publish with these, but I have proof that I saw a grizzly!!!!

Glacier Honeymoon Day 4

We scaled back on the amount of adventures for the day. We did a small walk to see McDonald Falls.
And a small walk along McDonald Lake itself.
McDonald Creek
And soaked our tired, sore feet in the frigid water.
Then Stu made amazing burgers for us back at the campsite.

Glacier Honeymoon Day 3 (part 2)

We made it to Logan Pass Visitor Center!
Garden Wall
We decided to hike to Hidden Lake Overlook
A few mountain goats just walked right past us!
And a little baby goat
Hidden Lake
Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel
A field of Glacier Lilies
On our way back from Logan Pass, we spotted our first bear!!! I know the picture sucks, but that is a real live black bear.
We pulled out for a last scenic look at McDonald Creek. The water everywhere in the park is so cold and so clear.
