We arrived at Lava Hot Springs on Monday afternoon. After checking into our motel, we went straight to the indoor hot springs pool. It had a shallow play area for younger kids and then a deeper pool with a diving board, rock wall over the water, and basketball hoops. After our play time was up, we drove to Pocatello where we ate a wonderful dinner at Buddy's Italian. Following dinner, we played at Ross Park. Carmen liked searching for the rock chucks that kept showing their faces around. A nice ride back and then a rough night of trying to sleep with all those kids in 1 room.
Tuesday, we packed up for a trip north to Idaho Falls and Bear World. Here is a pretty typical view looking into the back seat.
Everyone was super excited to see the semi pulling the helicopter.
So we got to Bear World and found out that it was still closed "for the season." So we headed to the Tautphaus Zoo in Idaho Falls. It was closed "until Spring." I think they missed the spring equinox...

Our walk along the Snake River in Idaho Falls
The rock chucks were quite prevalent.
Carmen insisted I take a picture of the geese.

Idaho Falls Temple
Love that picture of the temple. Can't wait to go once it's re-opened. :-)
