S hired a driver for an adventure! To Mount Khazbegi and the Central Caucasus range. We stopped at this strange structure on the road to Stephansminda.

I was surprised when our "jeep" ride pulled up and it was a little Lara! Here's our driver for the day with the Lara and its driver.
The Tsminda Sameba Monastery at the top of the hill just below Mt Khazbegi.
After our jeep ride up, through snow, mud and bumps, we hiked the last mile or so to see the 14th century monastery.
We went for a horseback ride. The guy walking out front was our "guide". He didn't speak much English. The horses just followed him as we rode along at a slow little pace.
We drove back to Tbilisi. J took me to a famous puppet show--Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. It is a famous show and it was fascinating for me to view.
