My Girlfriend...Yes...You Read That Right...

On October 5th, I posted this on Facebook: This is just letting people know that Stu and I have filed our divorce paperwork. We are both doing well enough and feel good about this decision. Though it is sad to part ways with such a good man, I have decided to openly admit that I am attracted to the same sex. This decision is a long time coming and I feel so happy and free admitting it out loud! I want to be my authentic self. Here I come...

Meet Eva, my girlfriend. She is so easy to spend time with. She is fierce and funny, determined and loyal. She has an infectious laugh and a gorgeous grin. She is strong, but soft. She is familiar with trauma, but is so resiliant.
She brought me 2 dozen red roses when she drove up to Boise for my half marathon.
On Table Rock overlooking Boise
She doesn't take herself too seriously
 Keeta loves his mommy
She's a bit shorter than me
We like to go on little adventures
Our 3 babies - Koal (black), Lady (cone), and Keeta (big & orange)
She took me to an archery range for my birthday - she's helping me with my 101 Goals!
She brought me flowers to work on my birthday/Thanksgiving
Drove up to Brighton just to see the snow
Our puddle of cats
Did I mention she loves to have fun and doesn't take life too seriously
We went to see the lights at Temple Square

Escape Camping

We're calling it "The Adventure of I Can't Stand this F***ing Place A Second Longer"
After waking up Sunday from too many bad shifts at work, I told Stu I had to get out of town. He helped me pack,  load Koda, and kissed me goodbye for a couple days. I have the best husband in the world.
We drove up to Kamis & took State Route 150, or Mirror Lake Highway.

Tulip Festival Half

Colette ran her first half marathon today! She was nice enough to let me join her. We ran the Tulip Festival Half Marathon. It was a cold morning, but at least it wasn't raining/snowing!
We made it into the Ashton Garden where the tulips are. There were strings full of cranes hanging down among the trees and flowers.
The gardens are so lovely!
We really struggled the last couple miles. We thought this graph underestimated the mental percentage points.
Immediately after finishing!
Stu took these for us. He, Sara, Garrett, & Julie met us at the finish line!
Here's the champ herself!

Salt Lake City Temple

I took the train up to SLC and met Colette at the temple. It was cold and couldn't decide between rain & snow. But the flowers were still in bloom!
It was so nice spending time in the temple with my dear friend. Thank you, Colette!

March 24th - A beautiful sunrise from the roundabout at work.
March 28th - This is a sight I love. My man reading a book that I recommended!
April 1st - Another run with my cute dog.
April 4th - Stu's procedure day: looks pretty sweet as a patient.
April 5th - Despite the pain and recovery, Stu braved the world and went to The Lion King Broadway musical. The musical was amazing! The costumes and dancing were wonderful.
April 8th - 5 mile run with Koda.
April 11th - I was working a 12L and got this text photo.
April 13th - We went to eat at Golden Coral with Mom and Dad. Stu found this in his salad.
April 14th - My last moments wearing glasses. Got PRK done. Now for a few days of blurry, scratchy vision.
